The Red Drug: 

Witnessing my sister's journey after being diagnosed with Lymphoma Stage 3x in 2024 July, we recognised numerous challenges between treatment, society and Mental Health. This project is an attempt to build something for those who undergo this journey, or are a part of this journey seeking solace in the chaos.

Context

'The Red Drug', is a platform based off on an analogy of the medicine 'Doxorubicin' the  bring awareness on Lymphoma, a blood cancer, common amongst children in their 20s.  The "red bottle" or "red devil" in chemotherapy typically refers to a drug called Doxorubicin. It is a chemotherapy medication used to treat a variety of cancers, including breast cancer, lymphoma, leukemia, and others. The drug is often called the "red devil" because of its distinctive red color and its potent side effects . Doxorubicin is the antibiotic that works by interfering with the DNA of cancer cells, preventing their growth and division. Understanding the relationship between Lymphoma and our 2025 society

What will TRD do?

The idea is to create a platform that will serve as a companion, offering a structured way to document their emotions, track their progress, and find encouragement through shared experiences, mindfulness exercises, and supportive resources tailored to their unique challenges. By fostering a space for reflection and empowerment, I hope to bridge the gaps between treatment, societal understanding, and mental well-being.
